Needle felts

Needle felts have a three-dimensional filter structure whose filter properties are present both on the surface and in the depth. This enables depth filtration with a very high solids collection capacity and high throughput. The surface of the needle felt is thermally treated so that fiber release into the filtrate is largely avoided. The specified pore size is practically not measurable; a nominal filter fineness determined by experience is given here.
