Screen inserts are preferably used where screen bags do not offer sufficient screening surface and the use of vibrating screens or bag filters appears unprofitable. The eyelets punched into the side seam provide versatile fastening options, e.g. for hanging in a frame with pins.

Filter inserts for open filtration offer a large filter surface and a high solids collection capacity.
Filter inserts for use in mesh boxes are used where waste water etc. is to be treated optically and a sewage treatment plant does not appear to be economical. They are mainly made of needle felt and have eyelets incorporated in the upper seam for better fastening.
