Around 140 young badminton talents from the U11 to U19 age groups, along with their coaches and parents, met for the first Schwegmann Junior Cup in Remagen. In addition to numerous players from Rhineland-Palatinate, participants also came from Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Bavaria, and Lower Saxony. The tournament offered exciting matches and top-level athletic performances.

After a total of 320 games and a lively awards ceremony, the premiere could be considered a complete success. Neither the organizing club BC Remagen nor we as the sponsor had anticipated such positive feedback from the children, coaches, and parents.

In cooperation with the Badminton Association of Rhineland, the young athletes not only received attractive prizes and cash awards, but were also able to collect valuable points for the German ranking list. This makes the Schwegmann Junior Cup currently the only tournament of its kind in the Rhineland.

We are already looking forward to the second edition of the Schwegmann Junior Cup, which will take place in 2026.
